HOW TO PREPARE SOFT SHELL CRABS
Soft shell crabs are a real delicacy enjoyed by many seafood lovers. To cook the soft
shell it must first be cleaned. The cleaning process removes the mouth, eyes, gills and lower apron of the crab. Once the crab is cleaned it is ready to be cooked. They are typically cooked by dredging the crab in a batter mix and then pan frying on a cook stove. The entire crab is consumed minus what was removed during the cleaning process. Soft shells can be purchased live from April through September. Most online stores sell the soft shell crabs already cleaned and frozen. This allows the soft shell crabs to be available all year.
